Vanessa is one of our Veterinary Technicians. She graduated from University of California, San Diego in 2012 with a B.S. in Pharmacological Chemistry. However, her love of animals has driven her to gain experience in the animal field, with the ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian. Not only has she worked with cats and dogs, but she had previously worked with sick and injured songbirds in San Diego. She also recently completed an internship working with critically endangered Mexican gray wolves and Alaskan gray wolves, gaining extensive knowledge of our playful pets’ wild counterparts.
Aside from work, Vanessa enjoys hanging out with her friends, snowboarding, and playing with her miniature poodle named Peanut.
Nataya is one of our Veterinary Technicians. She received her B.S. in Animal Science from University of California, Davis and went through the pre-veterinary medicine program. At Davis, she worked as a foal manager at the Horse Barn (the university’s equine breeding facility) caring for and training horses, and after graduation, she volunteered in Costa Rica and Nicaragua to provide free veterinary care to the locals and their companion animals. She has also interned with a dairy cattle veterinarian in Arizona who specializes in reproduction. She will attend UC Davis College of Veterinary Medicine in late 2013.
Outside from working at our hospital, Nataya is involved with the indie record label Green Kite Records and their band ColdFusion.
Kaitlyn, an avid animal lover, holds the position as our Receptionist/Animal Attendant/Veterinary Assistant. For as long as she can remember, Kaitlyn has always been surrounded by animals. As an owner of dogs, cats, rabbits, gecko, turtles and fishes, Kaitlyn has never hesitated in assisting in the birth process of family dogs, nursing injured and ill pets, and always willing to lend a sturdy shoulder to friends and family who have lost a family pet.
Kaitlyn studied at Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA with a major in Zoology and currently studies at Platt College in the Veterinary Technology Program working on becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician and ultimately study Veterinary Medicine. She volunteers at Western Riverside Animal Shelter, Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center and Petsmart Cat Adoption Center. She is a member of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America Chapter through Platt College.
When she's not at work or at school, Kaitlyn finds life balance in raising her pitbull- mix puppy, Tyson, playing with her chihuahua/dachshund dog, Tobi and watching her gecko, Elliott, catch crickets for his meal. She enjoys outdoor activities such as tennis, basketball, archery, laser tag, swimming and paintball, but no outdoor sports, no matter how interesting, compares to her love for animals.
